AlmacharAlmachar is a picturesque whitewashed village set between green and fertile farmland on the side of a hill, with spectacular mountain scenery all around, set in the heart of the labyrinth landscape of the Axarquia mountains.
The village nestles amongst vineyards, olive groves, orchards and fields of cereals; stretching down to the bowl of the River Almachar from the low ridge to the Vallejo peak to the south.
Almachar is located 20 kilometres from the beaches at Rincon de la Victoria, a 30 minute drive, and 30 kilometres from Malaga, a 45 minute car journey.
