CastelldefelsCastelldefels is situated just 18 kilometres outside of Barcelona City, on a stretch of coastline known as the Costa del Garraf, in the Barcelona province of Catalonia.
The town is a popular destination for Spanish holidaymakers; it enjoys an excellent location, so close to Barcelona City and set along 5 kilometres of beautiful coastline. Castelldefels is the last town before the Baix Llobregat, situated between the delta and the Garraf massif.
About townThe town offers good amenities, with a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. There is an attractive marina, from where you can partake in a number of water sports activities.
You can visit the ancient castle of Fels, from which the town takes its name and the 16th century medieval defence towers, Can Ballester and Barona tower.
BeachesThe town boasts five kilometres of golden, sandy beaches, typically of those of the Costa Dorada, which leads off along the coastline.
ClimateCastelldefels has a typical Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers, during the spring and autumn the region can receive quite a bit of rain and some spectacular storms.
