Costa de AntiguaThe Costa de Antigua, otherwise known as Nuevo Horizonte, is located on the eastern coast of
Fuerteventura, just outside Caleta de Fuste. The relatively new resort destination provides an attractive, peaceful destination for those seeking a
really relaxing holiday.
The town is situation just 10 minutes drive from Fuerteventura Airport.
Around townThe town itself is small, but provides the amenities and facilities necessary to enjoy a peaceful family holiday, with bars, restaurants, a bakers, and grocery stores all to hand.
A beautiful walk over the headland will bring you to the larger resort of Caleta de Fuste, if you are
looking for more extensive facilities. The walk is lit up during the evening if you want to head to the neighbouring town for dinner.
BeachesCosta de Antigua, as with the rest of Fuerteventura, boasts a beautiful stretch of white sand beach and crystal clear waters. It’s a paradise for sun worshippers and water sports enthusiasts.
Eating outAlthough a relatively small village, Costa del Antigua, is home to a Spanish restaurant, pizzeria,
American/Irish bar, Chinese restaurant, and entertainment and sports bars.
ClimateThe climate of Fuerteventura, as with the rest of the Canary Islands, is generally pleasant all year round. The island can be prone to high winds; its name translated literally means Strong Fortune, or Strong Wind. During the summer months temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees, and in the winter rarely drop below 18 degrees.
