In the winter months you can enjoy our "pueblo" style fireplace with open log fires (we provide some "starter" wood for your first night. Wood can be purchased locally.
This charming and comfortable house has the most perfect location in Lanjaron - a quintessentially Spanish, no-through-traffic, sleepy plant-filled plaza (parking nearby). From the balcony, one can hear birdsong and the splashing of the water in the grotto-like fountain below and from the sunny terrace, enjoy the mountain and sea views.
Both pretty bedrooms have very comfortable beds (queen size in the main bedroom and the second has a big single plus a separate single sofa-type bed if needed). In the spacious yet cosy living room, with its pretty pueblo fireplace, one can watch English language satellite TV. The state-of-the-art bathroom offers a hydromassage shower unit (we provide shower gel,shampoo and a hairdryer). The modern though rustic style fitted chestnut kitchen has a four ring hob, stainless steel fridge freezer and is fully equipped.
Breakfast or the evening meal can be had on the roof terrace, while enjoying the views. There we have a small bbq and some loungers to sunbathe on and we provide an umbrella to take to the beach.
The house is distinguished by its successful fusion of stylish design and sympathetic restoration of traditional architecture, with tasteful attention to detail and colour.

This house has an ideal position in the village and is the perfect setting for exploring the outdoors closeby as well as enjoying the various outdoor activities available.
The village boasts an Olympic-size municipal swimming pool with a bar, close by (there are also pools at the hotels and open to visitors during the summer months). There are tennis courts and, in the season, plenty of nightlife and bustling cafes in the centre shaded by magnificent ancient plane trees. At ones doorstep, you have easy access to wonderful countryside and spectacular walks. Should you want to treat yourself, the nearby historic Balneario offers a range of spa treatments and massage. For those without a hire car, Lanjaron has daily bus services to the coast and to Granada (only 35 k away) and a taxi service is also available.
Lanjaron is an ideal situation for those who like skiing as it is only an hours drive door to door: for trekking and other outdoor activities, or for trips either to Granada (Alhambra) or the beaches on the Coast.
The village has a very good and efficient tourist office.
The owners are long term residents who are very happy to assist in any way possible. We personally meet our guests on arrival to hand over the keys and answer any initial queries/questions and maintain contact during their stay to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Other Activities include yoga, massage(which can be arranged at the house for you), healing treatments, cycling, horse riding, guided walks - just ask the owners for specific information. Trekking is by far the most popular activity for our guests - either locally, in the higher Alpujarras or around Granads.
One appreciative guest commented we just wanted to say that we had a wonderful stay and really loved the house and the location. It was even more beautiful than the photos, which is rare!!

The kitchen has all the mod cons - toaster, blender, coffee grinder and expresso coffee machine, sandwich maker, juicer, microwave and kettle and good quality pots and pans, salad bowls etc.There is also an iron and ironing board available and a "fold up" clothesline. The washing machine is very easy to use. The cooking space is ample and well lit. The cooker has 4 rings and a good sized oven with fan extractor above it.
There are many activities that can be organised locally as well as treatments at the spa (walking, horseriding, hiking etc¨). The owners are happy to arrange these for you.
The drive to the beach/costa is half an hour, to Granada city (a visit to the Alhambra is a must) is 30 mins, ski resort is an hour from Lanjaron.
The owners (Mary & Brian)have lived in the area for the last 27 years (we are Irish) Mary has been teaching English at the local school for 23 years and also works part time as an administrator at a nearby alternative holiday centre. Brian has worked at the centre for over 19 years as a massage therapist. We are very happy to help out in any way when necessary as we don't live very far away. We always personally meet our guests and "settle" them into the house on arrival and are available whenever necessary during our guests stay.
